Leverage Funding!

Over the past few years I’ve been involved at work in “leverage funding.” As the great exponent of this at Slough, Phil, taught me, this is the art of getting someone else to pay for the work you want to do. Typically we get to spend UK or EU taxpayers money to fund universities to do work we wish to do. Everyone’s a winner!

Well, now is your chance!

As you will know if you read this blog, I’m raising money for the Outward Bound Trust by participating in the Ride Across Britain as part of Team Dulux. Well, for the next 4 Wednesdays any online donations of £100 or less made on your Virgin Money Giving fundraising page via Paypal will be matched.

The rules are simple; donations must be made to charities:

  • Between 5:00 pm and 6:00 pm every Wednesday until 18 June 2014.
  • Be made via PayPal.
  • Be made on a Virgin Money Giving fundraising page.

This is a great opportunity to raise some extra funds so if you’ve thought “Gareth must be mad, who would cycle over 900 miles in 9 days, probably in the wind and rain?” or if you’ve thought “The Outward Bound Trust, what an amazing charity, aiming to unlock the potential of young people, regardless of financial or social circumstance, through discovery and adventure in the wild” or even just “I wish Gareth would quit bugging me, here’s a donation to shut you up!” Now you know what to do – double your money Wednesdays are here!

I’ll schedule a short reminder on the blog for each time window – all and any donations are gratefully received.
