Right Now! The Tour of Flanders! So exciting!

Today is the day!  Team Dulux is ensconced in Belgium, wearing our Flandrian Best, and riding the cobbled hills of De Ronde van Vlaanderen.

You can follow my progress live via the video links using my bib number of 18263.

“If you have ever fantasized about biking in Belgium, know this: Riding on cobbles is a painful, brutalizing business, like saddling up a jackhammer.”

While we’re suffering on the hellingen of Flanders, consider supporting me for my Ride Across Britain.  We’re raising money for The Outward Bound Trust, and you can sponsor me from this link.

Tomorrow you can follow the Elite Mens Ronde van Vlaanderen: The famous Belgian race held one week before the Paris Roubaix and a ‘monument’ of the European pro tour.  The climbs make use of the few hills Belgium has to offer but makes up in the difficulty of overcoming the cobbled climbs.  If you want to follow this, there should be a live stream available on the internet.  After the race, we’ll be heading to the tunnel to get back to Britain in time for a late curry and then back to work to rest the sore legs.

Next weekend, the Hell of the North (East), and watching the Paris-Roubaix at The Cycle Hub.
